Catering
We cook for events off the farm, and the food travels better than you’d think. Our catering menus are built from the same kitchen that runs the Hill Tribe Farm Dinners — farm-grown produce, Southeast Asian technique, food that’s actually worth eating at a party.
We work primarily in Prince Edward County and the surrounding region. For the right project, we travel further.
Our approach
We don’t have a fixed menu, because the farm doesn’t have a fixed harvest. We work with you to build something that fits your event, your guest count, and your budget — always rooted in what’s seasonal and what we do well.
Our catering reflects the same food philosophy as everything else we do: bold, herb-forward, fire-influenced cooking that draws on Hmong and broader Southeast Asian pantry traditions. If you’ve eaten at one of our farm dinners, you have a sense of the register.
What we offer
- Cocktail and reception food — Skewers, fritters, composed bites. High-flavour, low-fuss for guests standing with a drink.
- Family-style dinners — Our format of choice. Communal platters, passed dishes, the kind of eating that actually brings people together.
- Drop-off catering — Prepared dishes, grain bases, sauces, and sides for groups who want to self-serve. Great for smaller office events or informal gatherings.
- Winery and producer partnerships — Food programs for tasting rooms, harvest events, or industry dinners where the food needs to hold its own against the wine.
